August 22, 2022 The beginning of the week

Monday is my first day of the week. I would love to be able to convert to Sunday being the first day of THE week...but Monday is when I get back on that horse and keep the reigns trained on progress. This week....? There is a lot to do. Sometimes I am overwhelmed by the desire for excellence. Like I feel that studying theology is integral to my path. But that same path also has studies in mysticism, world religions, psychology, and politics. Then to add to it, I have a strong interest in business, social media, content creation; then there is health and wellness, creative endeavors, and reading. Plus I have plants indoors and outdoors, succulents, cacti, flowers, and a veggie garden.  It's a lot.       Photo by Firmbee.com on Unsplash     There are times when I feel like I am all over the map. But others where I don't know that I could give up any of those things because they all matter to me as topics of interest, they make my time on this planet worthwhi...

Do you have DIBS?

Just finished one of LinkedIn Learning's pathways for diversity and inclusion.  DIBS - diversity, inclusion, and belonging.  I loved it. DIBS as a quick and easy conversation starter, whether at the water cooler or in an interview. It's important to everyone - we are diversity, we want inclusion (fairness), and as human beings, we desperately want to belong. How simple is that?  It's not about whether it's snowing, or how loud the boom is. It's just about being human in the work place and the world. We can forget all about generations and gaps. We can practice it at any point in time - at work, at home, in our friend groups. We can connect with our neighbors and create a community with authentic engagements. Is it idealistic?  Perhaps. In a world more inclined to divisiveness DIBS sounds like a pipe dream. So guess, let me sign the papers...and the Brooklyn Bridge will finally be mine.  Be nice. Be human.

Witchy Life

I got my astrological forecast for the next 3 year (s), depending on which one you're talking about - One is for the more personal planets, the other is for the outer planets. The outer planets have historically handed me my ass repeatedly....usually right on schedule. Or...maybe they made things better? It's hard to say. Some things have been traumatic, but have also ripped out the shackles. I suppose it depends on your perspective.  Just like anything you do or experience, how you handle the situation is how you will interpret the impact.    Photo by Manik Roy on Unsplash    When I turned 30, Saturn's return upended the whole situation like Jesus in the Temple.  I didn't know how that was going to work. It did eventually work out, but not without blood, fire, and tears. Saturn is a planet that kind of scares me, so the idea that he makes another return at 60....? Where's a bomb shelter when you need one?  lol All that said, the forecasts are basical...
